In this presentation, author Andriy Semotiuk related how he first learned about Solomea Krushelnytska, the world’s leading Soprano in the Golden Age of opera, the first decade of the 1900s (as well as being his great aunt and sister of his grandmother Maria).
He described the details of his research into his family’s legacy and the truths he uncovered that were buried behind the Iron Curtain at the end of World War II. He spoke about the wide range of countries Solomea performed in, covering Europe, Tsarist Russia, North Africa, South America, and even the United States and Canada. He shared what he learned from this exploration of his past.
A video recording of the Webinar presentations can be found here. We also have a recording of the Introductory and Q&A segments from that evening.
